Nomade – At night, the sky is endless has been especially restaged for a series of performances at the Universal Forum of cultures – Monterrey 2007 in Mexico. The show that left the stage in October 2006 will have the great honor of representing Quebec culture in this international event. After a few weeks of rehearsals in Cirque Éloize’s studios at the Gare Dalhousie, the technicians and then the artists have left Montreal to Mexico. Performed 25 times under the big top for the Forum, Nomade and its artists will celebrate the 700th performance of the show! A great opportunity for this creation that said goodbye to its audience after touring almost 5 times around the globe in more than 4 and a half years. |

Nomade – At night, the sky is endless, the first part in the Sky Trilogy, will be specially restaged for a series of performances at the Universal Forum of Cultures - Monterrey 2007 in Mexico, where Cirque Éloize will have the honour of representing Québec culture. The second show in the Sky Trilogy, Rain – Comme une pluie dans tes yeux, has just returned after a series of shows at the prestigious Chekhov International Theatre Festival in Moscow, Russia, which this year focused on Canadian theatre. The creation of the third and last part in the Sky Trilogy, Nebbia, co-produced with Teatro Sunil, has started at the Gare Dalhousie, headquarters of Cirque Éloize in Montreal. This latest opus is the third collaboration between the Swiss-Italian director and the virtuoso modern circus and acrobatic theatre company from Canada. Daniele Finzi Pasca (author and Director of Cirque Éloize's last two creations) won a prestigious Swiss Awards in the ''Show business'' category this week-end in his homeland. The annual prize honors people who have stood out by their acheivements this year. A jury composed of Swiss personalities from various fields such as arts, politics, economy, cinema and so on nominated three finalist in each category. In 2006, Daniele Finzi Pasca has, amongst other projects, created and directed the Closing Ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Torino in collaboration with his team of creators at Teatro Sunil an also with the collaboration of Julie Hamelin and Jeannot Painchaud of Cirque Éloize. |
