“Mind-blowing”-“Edgy”- “Spectacular”-“Roof-raising”

Critics and public alike rave about iD’s premiere at Toronto’s Sony Center for the Performing Arts.

Toronto’s Sony Center for the Performing Arts was packed to the rafters on October 1st, as the venue celebrated its 50 year anniversary and grand re-opening with iD, Cirque Eloize’s latest creation. The evening was a brilliant success, with the audience giving it a spontaneous and vibrant standing ovation at the end of the performance. Critics have since been raving about the show. “You’re not going to find a more energetic, mind-blowing, roof-raising piece of entertainment than iD”, says The Star’s Richard Ouzounian. “The Sony Center could hardly have chosen a better show to celebrate its grand reopening. (…) To see seemingly ordinary people do such extraordinary feats really lifts the spirits (…) Take everyone you know” adds Eye Weekly critic Christopher Hoile while online entertainment blog Theatromania points out that “(…) the audience was a sea of “oohs” and “aahs” for the entire show”.

iD runs at the Sony Center for the Performing Arts until October 9th. Tickets are still available for the upcoming performances.  Make sure to follow The Star’s recommendation: “People will be talking about iD for years to come. Don’t miss it.
