THE GREAT TOUR OF THE 375TH, HOSTED BY CIRQUE ÉLOIZE

One of the flagship events of the Montreal 375th Anniversary Celebration Society, The Great Tour of the 375th, aims to highlight the richness and diversity of the various neighbourhoods of Montreal and its citizens.
From May to September 2017, over 19 consecutive weekends (from Thursday to Sunday), the boroughs of the city will be in the spotlight! In a festive, friendly context, all those who love Montreal will be delighted to rediscover their own neighbourhoods and enjoy the opportunity to explore other exciting neighbourhoods. And Cirque Éloize is playing its part in the celebrations! We are launching a call to local talents to play host to the different boroughs. We are seeking the following talents:

  • Storyteller: creative person (capable of writing or editing a story), captivating, expressive and specialized for a children’s audience. Acting skills a strong asset.
  • Choir: varied, joyful and festive repertoire.
  • Pianist: varied repertoire (e.g. jazz, popular, classical, etc.)
  • Dance troupe: all styles are welcome (e.g. hip-hop, jazz, Latin, ballet, etc.). Ideally, a representative style of the borough.
  • Dance teacher: playful dance style accessible to the general public (e.g. salsa, hip-hop, tango, etc.)

IN ADDITION: all other outdoor art: musicians of all kinds (ideally, representative style of the district), puppeteers, giant puppets, waders, make-up artists, magicians, living statues, and more!

*No gender preferences.
